Luis Ocando
Of Counsel | Country Managing Partner
Luis is a tax lawyer with more than 37 years of experience in taxation and more specifically: a) Local and international tax (i.e. Panama, Venezuela, Latam Countries); b) Supply chain structuring; c) Assisting high-net-worth Latin American families and their businesses; d) asset protection, and trust and estate matters; d) Mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and reorganizations; e) Design and implementation of cross-border transactions; f) Financing and investment structures; g) Shared services centers and, h) BEPS and EU Standards from the public and private sector perspective.
From 2009 to August 2020, he was External Adviser of the Panamanian Government in International Tax Matters and Tax Transparency related to OECD, Global Forum and EU.
Luis is currently Country Managing Partner | Tax & Law Leader of EY’s Panama Office and Market Segment MeCAR Accounts Latam North. Member of the Executive Committee of the Panama, Central America & Dominican Republic firm of EY (EYCA) and member of the EYCA Tax Executive Committee.
Luis holds a J.D. equivalent from Santa María University (Caracas) and a Postgraduate Degree in Management and Finance from the IESA Caracas and Special Management program from INCAE Costa Rica.

Tatiana J. Whytelord

Tatiana J. Whytelord is a highly skilled M&A, Intellectual Property and Branding lawyer with over 35 years experience gained working at and representing top tier law firms and multinational companies in Canada, USA, France, Monaco, Mexico, UK and Australia.
Tatiana has advised on IP portfolios and strategies, brand extension programs, sponsorship alignments and global partnerships, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions for many luxury and niche spirits brand groups including Diageo, LVMH, Bodegas Domecq, Perrier-Jouet, Mumm, Courvoisier, and Destillers United Group. Throughout her career, she has also worked with luxury fashion brands such as Gucci, Prada and Marithe Francois Girbaud, in addition to close collaborations with many celebrities and iconic brands in the music and entertainment/film industries.
As Board Member and chair, she has continuously contributed to bridging the gap between regulatory and operational objectives. Having spent several years as the Chair of the Board of Directors of an Australian company at the forefront of innovation in the global hospitality industry, Tatiana currently sits on the Board of Directors of HerHealth EQ, The Brooklyn Fashion Incubator and acts as Advisor to several start-up companies involved in upscale, niche new products.
She has a Bachelors of Law from the University of Montreal, a Masters in European Law from Sorbonne University in Paris, and a Masters in Corporate Tax Law from Harvard University.
Tatiana is a member of various bar associations and law societies across North America and Europe. She is also a prominent and active member of organisations such as the International Trademark Association, the Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition and the Brands Council of Europe and the United States.

Daniel Herrera is a seasoned M&A and corporate strategy specialist with over 30 years of experience leading companies through complex transformations. His expertise lies in helping businesses navigate strategy, finance, and corporate restructuring, with a particular focus on the U.S., Central and South American markets.
Throughout his career, he has served as President and CEO, which gives him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities clients face. During his tenure as President/CEO, he has gained hands-on expertise in business reinvention, corporate restructuring, and navigating complex situations. He also specializes in governance modeling and strategic oversight of company financial matters; he currently serves on several Boards of Directors for corporations in the spirits, food, agri-business, and consulting industries, bringing hands-on, strategic guidance to their operations. Daniel leverages his extensive experience to provide expert corporate advisory and M&A services.
He is committed to strategic and financial engagements for clients with particular focus on the spirits, food, and agri-business sectors. Daniel holds a MBA in Banking, Finance and Investments from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a CEO Intensive Program certificate from the Kellogg Business School and graduated top of his class in Economics from the UCAB in Caracas, Venezuela
